Off-Site Data Back-Up & Disaster Recovery Services
Virtual Networks offers a complete line of data back-up and business continuity products and services through our partnership with Ancero and the Philadelphia Technology Park (PTP). Operating out of a 300,000 square foot "purpose built" high tech office complex with 80,000 square feet of data center space and extensive and fully functional data center supported 24x7x365 and support organization, we provide a one-stop shop, thereby eliminating the complexity and constraints that come with contracting with multiple vendors.

Ensuring that your business thrives today and for decades to come, means developing an effective Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plan.

Off Site Data Back-up:

In today's business environment, data volumes are growing at an explosive rate and it becomes more and more important for businesses to protect against unexpected network outages and natural disasters, such as floods and fires.

Most backup solutions make restoring data a cumbersome and risky process. Manually retrieving off-site tapes, and recovering files from these tapes, can be problematic for several reasons. With a hosted backup and recovery solution you eliminate these issues. Our automated online backup solution guarantees that the job gets done without error or disruption. Off-site transmission and storage provides a necessary safeguard for your data, while under the protection of industrial-strength encryption and our 24x7 monitoring, which guarantees what was sent, was received.

Our hosted data backup service is simple. We've given the end user the ability to restore files and data components on the fly and at a fraction of the cost of other solutions.

Today's IT executives and network managers face many challenges. One of the most formidable is protecting the vital enterprise information that's distributed across local area networks - often in geographically remote offices and factories.

Backup Net solves this challenge. Our system provides a data protection solution for enterprise networks and offers an automated solution for traditional tape backup methodologies. Users can control the backup and recovery process from a single PC within the entire organization.

Say goodbye to tape backups:

Traditional tape backup schemes can be hit-or-miss propositions. Backup quality depends on local staff and equipment. Information that's crucial for day-to-day operations, as well as legal compliance, may go unprotected.

An effective solution for enterprise-wide backup, Backup Net is a backup/restore solution that overcomes the limitations of tape. It includes all the tools and functions you need to manage your distributed data from one central hub, securely, reliably and efficiently.

It lets you effectively protect all your data, across your entire network whether the data resides in servers, desktops or laptops without regard to physical location. You can be in a central LAN or distributed LANs. Data from all these "data islands" is securely transmitted over your IP WAN to your central online repository for backup.

You control the backup functions, you control the storage media, you decide which information is critical and needs to be stored online, which is important and can be archived offsite. And you avoid costly downtime because lost data can be quickly restored, either by your local IT administrator or the central help desk regardless of where the data needs to be restored.

Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

Recent compliance regulations (e.g., HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley, and SEC rules) have pressured organizations of all sizes to make more data quickly recoverable for longer periods of time; company files, databases, and e-mail must be restorable for years. And with the proliferation of 24x7 business operations, companies of all sizes are recognizing the requirement to have a complete business continuity and disaster recovery environment to ensure that their IT operations are completely protected against natural and unnatural disasters and outages.

Recover Net provides a scalable, turnkey disaster recovery solution far superior to the traditional methodologies employed for decades.

We provides a means to quickly (immediately, if necessary) get downed servers back up and operational. Recover Net takes the servers stored in our Backup Net data sets and restores them to servers at our Recovery Networks Data Center. If a single server has crashed, it is restored and connected to its original LAN via VPN. Should an entire site experience an outage, all servers can be recovered and access to the recovered network can be provided via VPN, Terminal Services, Citrix or other means.

In coordination with off-site backup services provided via Backup Net, servers can be quickly and easily recovered with a few mouse clicks-all without the need for your IT staff to travel off-site, retrieve tapes or re-install applications! Our entire recovery process can be done from a remote location.

Scalability is key: Most Disaster Recovery plans will account for an entire network disaster. Recover Net allows an organization to easily support the failure of a single server up to the entire server farm. In the event that even a single server is lost, that server can be restored at the Recovery Networks facility and connected back to the main network via VPN. This provides the IT Staff with the necessary time to replace the dead server.

RECOVERNET OPTIONS:

ON-CALL Servers
Some organizations can survive a day without some critical servers yet still require their recoverability. On-Call servers are restored at the time of disaster and can be operational in as little as a few hours.

ON-STANDBY Servers
Most organizations cannot afford to lose a server and their entire network for more than a few minutes or hours due to critical application requirements. With the "On-Standby" Option, organizations can elect to have servers restored immediately after the Backup Net job completes. This will minimize the recovery time in the event of a failure.

ON-DEMAND Servers
Organizations with mission critical systems need to be operating with current data at all times. On-Demand Servers replicate your servers in real-time to insure the Recover Net servers have up-to-the-minute data that can be running in a matter of moments.

Server Continuity Solutions

VM Ware, Xen Server and Microsoft Hyper-V server all include powerful business continuity features, such as live backup and quick migration, enabling businesses to meet stringent uptime and response metrics.

Disaster recovery is a key component of business continuity. Natural disasters, malicious attacks, and even simple configuration problems like software conflicts can cripple services and applications until administrators resolve the problems and restore any backed up data. By leveraging the clustering capabilities of "Virtualization software, we are now able to provide support for disaster recovery (DR) within IT environments and across data centers, using geographically dispersed clustering capabilities. Rapid and reliable disaster and business recovery helps ensure minimal data loss and powerful remote management capabilities.
